Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily production activities for structural fabrication, sheet metal processing, and assembly as per production plans.
  • Supervise fabrication operations including cutting, CNC laser cutting, shearing, bending, punching, drilling, rolling, welding, grinding, and final assembly.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Allocate manpower, machines, and resources efficiently to maximize production output.
  • Coordinate with PPC, Design, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth production flow.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication details, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Coordinate with PPC, Design, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth production flow.
  • Monitor production progress and identify bottlenecks affecting delivery schedules.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of machines, welding equipment, tools, and consumables.
  • Supervise MIG, TIG, ARC welding, structural fit-up, fabrication, and sheet metal assembly activities.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Quality team for stage-wise inspections and prompt closure of quality observations.
  • Minimize rejection, rework, and material wastage through process control and continuous monitoring.
  • Maintain production records, shift reports, machine utilization reports, and daily production MIS.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed in coordination with the maintenance team.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards across the fabrication shop.
  • Train and guide operators, welders, fabricators, and helpers to improve productivity and workmanship.

Must Have:

  • 3–6 years of experience in structural fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in heavy fabrication, steel structures, storage tanks, silos, PEB, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Ability to lead fabrication teams and manage production efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in the manufacturing of the following products will be preferred:
